When I first moved into my house I painted the basement yellow. 3/4 through the job I came down to check on the progress and told my very frustrated husband that "I'm really not this cheerful, I don't think I can live with this color". It's not that I'm not a happy person it's just that yellow walls can be a bit... (insert jazz hands here) "Happy all the time!!" Not to mention that I had read "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman where the wallpaper slowly makes her go insane. With 3 boys had home I didn't need any additional help.
But, I've reconsidered yellow. As an accent color.

I love a good orange But I'm starting to see the light with yellow. I think yellow and grey will be very popular this year. Enjoy the weekend!
